Sorry for the lack of update-other things in my life have been taking over a little bit recently (mostly martial arts related) but the band is playing tonight @ The Bridgehouse 2 as part of Surface Unsigned festival 2010.  This is the second round and are on stage for 10:30pm.

Just a small update today with a couple of a new photos in the Gallery of the recent Surface Unsigned show.

Well we made it through to the next round!  Hurrah!

Surface Unsigned round 2 is due to take place on the 13th May @ The Bridgehouse 2 in Canning Town, London.  I will update the gigs page soon to reflect the upcoming shows which we are in the process of booking.

In some silly moment of stupidity I uploaded the same master 3 times without realising I hadn’t got the right one in the first place! ha ha!  When I was listening back to Drowning on a different machine I thought I had totally ‘lost it’ as the mastering changed anything!  Oh dear…

The right MP3 has been uploaded now!

Drowning has been mastered now - the mastered version has simply replaced the media file which is being streamed in the Music Downloads section.  Enjoy!

Just needed some added clarity (which I did via Izotope’s fantastic DAW plugin Ozone - highly recommended!) with an exciter.  Also tightened up the low end of the track.

Sorry for the wait - as per usual I got carried away and my perfectionist obssession (I swear I’m OCD or something) reared its ugly head.  Had a great weekend filled with gigs, production and buying a new amp!  Just bought a Mesa Boogie (I never actually imagined as a spotty teenager first tabbing out Incubus tracks I would EVER have the money for one of these bad boys!).  Looking forward to recording the new amp but in the mean time click on over to the Music Downloads page and listen to my new (ish!) track.  Please post and let us know what you think - I always want to hear how I might improve these songs of mine (afterall music is there to be shared right?!).

Just putting the finishing touches (mostly post-production schtuff) on Drowning In Dreams now - the mix will be ready ever so soon.  Next recording to go live on the site will be “Your Song” my tribute to my late friend James Hill.  I promised on delivering this sooner late last year right before the macintosh crisis but now it really is coming!

Well, the vocals are tracked - I just need to do some final guitar overdubs and then its finito!  My good friend Pete is also coming over Friday to put the finishing touches on the live room of our studio before we do the big marketing push on it in the coming weeks.  I should have another friend Jon who is a fantastic photographer taking some snaps of the place ready for the ‘propaganda’ campaign!
